Joanna + Christian wedding
April 21, 2012
It’s the ultimate compliment to be recommended by a previous client. Even though it still feels like I have a long way to go in this business it means I must be doing some things right!
Jo is an Aussie who grew up loving all things French. She studied it, learnt the language and generally tried to immerse herself in as much French as possible. It must have been fate when she met a French boy called Christian (not a huge surprise to her family and friends), who also happened to have some Australian heritage of his own.
Fast forward a few years and here they are standing on top of Observatory hill, ignoring the threat of rain (you wouldn’t think it from the first photo), with a heavy contingent of international guests. The rain held off for what was a beautiful day on the hill, then down through the rocks and over to Flying Fish restaurant by water taxi (it’s the only way to travel!).
Jo and Christian I hope you had an amazing day, thank you.

Wes and Claire wedding
December 1, 2011
When Wes and Claire contacted me about photographing their wedding I didn’t need much convincing. The fact that it was an intimate little wedding on a secluded farm near Cattai didn’t even come into it. It was the fact that Wes and Claire are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet…..and they wanted me as their photographer!
When Wes first told me about the ‘farm’ I pictured an open property with a few cows and a nice little house in the middle. What I wasn’t expecting was the most amazing farm I’ve ever seen. Luckily I had honour of visiting a couple of months in advance, just so I wasn’t walking around on the big day with my mouth open the whole time.
The day was magic from beginning to end. Thanks Wes and Claire for letting me part of your special day.
Caroline and Aaren {wedding}
June 23, 2011
I met Aaren back when I was 17 when we first took to the aussie rules field together. Little did I realise back then that I’d be there 12 years later for the biggest match of his life..! Aaren met Caroline one night out in Coogee when she was here in Oz travelling with friends from her homeland Scotland….and they’ve been together ever since.
Their beautiful wedding took place on the headland above Nielsen Park in Vaucluse with the reception at the Kiosk. It’s tough taking photos of friends without getting caught up in the moment. Lucky for me I had the awesome Sarah Vassallo as my wing(wo)man, who did an amazing job photographing so many of the following moments…Thank you!
Caz and Aaren, thank you for letting me be part of your special day.
Celia and Brendan {wedding}
March 18, 2011
Celia and Brendan’s wedding day was hot….seriously hot. I was dripping in sweat all day. From the moment I turned up at Celia’s until the end of the night the day didn’t really cool down that much…..don’t get me started in the humidity.
Besides the heat, humidity and Celia being 6 months pregnant….everyone had a fantastic day. Brendan and Celia were such good sports as I dragged them all over Belgenny Farm to make the most out of the beautiful location…….they didn’t complain once!
Thanks for letting me capture the moments of your special day. Hope you like the photos.
You might remember seeing these two on the blog before
Karen and Chris wedding
December 5, 2010
I had such a great time photographing Karen and Chris’s wedding, I actually felt like one of the guests! I was laughing and getting emotional at all the appropriate times during the speeches, it was as though I had know them both for years.
The weather on the day wasn’t looking promising for an outdoor ceremony on Observatory hill. Rain, storms and 50km per hour winds. When I first got to Karen’s she immediately wanted to what I would do in her situation – chance the outdoor ceremony or go the safe indoor option. I was just planning on taking the pictures, but from the moment I arrived I was involved. In the end they both made the decision together and decided that they would risk the hill and it was a brilliant call because the stormy weather held off and it all ran beautifully.
It was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to. There was just so much love in the room on the night and everyone was there to have a good time. At most weddings you have the usual suspects carving up the dancefloor while everyone else sits around…..but it felt like the whole party was dancing away.
Thanks Karen and Chris for letting me photograph your special day….You, your friends and your family were all so awesome and made me feel like part of the group! I’ll never forget Chris’s solo effort at the end of the night…..”FINAL Countdown”..
